I am a HUGE coffee drinker and lover. There’s a Keurig, espresso machine, and coffee machine at my house, along with our cute coffee cart filled with our coffee + espresso beans, k-cups, syrups, and sweeteners. I love waking up in the morning to drink a cup of coffee, but also love to stay up later and make another cup of coffee. The convenience of these coffee + espresso machines is amazing, but that doesn’t stop me from still getting coffee shop coffee lol. The whole action of driving to get coffee, listening to music in the car, picking out a new drink (and even add in some photoshoots with the coffee) is a big reason why I find it so enjoyable. I put together a list of my favorite drinks, where I usually get them from, and how you can order them from anywhere!
Carmilla Latte: Caramel + Vanilla Latte
This is one of my ALL time favorites! There’s a cute coffee shop in my hometown called JJ Java that serves the carmilla latte, which is a combination of vanilla and caramel syrups. It’s a sweet latte but one I couldn’t get enough of, it’s the perfect balance between the two flavors. While I’m at school I make this at home with my espresso machine as well!
When I make this drink I personally combine:
- 2 shots of espresso
- 2 pumps of vanilla
- 1 pump of caramel
- 1/2-1 teaspoon of sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
Vanilla sweet cream cold brew
This is my current go-to order from Starbucks (which is soon going to change because of the next drink). I enjoy this drink so much because it’s sweet but at the same time still has a coffee taste to it. It’s topped with sweet cream foam which I love because I’m not a huge whipped cream fan when it comes to iced coffee. Sometimes if I’m feeling like I wanting something a little sweeter, I ask for additional liquid cane sugar or vanilla syrup!
I’ve never made this at home but the ingreidents inclue:
- Iced coffee
- Vanilla sweet cream
- 2 pumps of vanilla syrup
Cold brew with caramel + white mocha added
I’ve only had this drink a couple times now and I first saw it in one of Hannah Meloche’s YouTube videos (it’s her go-to as well)! The vanilla sweet cream cold brew listed above and the basic white chocolate mocha have been my 2 favorite Starbucks drinks and this is a COMBINATION! This tastes similar to the cold brew above but it’s sweeter and has more flavor with the extra syrups that are added. I’ve never attempted to make this drink at home, but it tastes amazing from Starbucks!
How I order it (keep in mind it is a venti, I don’t know if it’ll taste the same in a smaller size):
- Venti salted caramel
- with cold foam + cold brew
- add 3 pumps of white mocha
- add 3 pumps of caramel syrup
Vanilla coffee with cream +liquid sugar
This is a very simple vanilla coffee drink (if you couldn’t tell already, vanilla is my favorite syrup flavor) and my favorite order at Dunkin’ Donuts. This is a very sweet drink but doesn’t have much of the coffee taste to it. I choose to order liquid sugar because cane sugar doesn’t dissolve fully in iced coffee. This is an easy drink that can also be made from home with iced coffee, vanilla syrup, your choice of cream, and sugar.
Here is how you can order from Dunkin’
- Iced vanilla coffee
- add cream
- add liquid sugar
Store bought: STOK *not too sweet*
An easy iced coffee drink to have from home when you aren’t wanting to go to a coffee shop is STOK coffee! There are multiple different kinds, my personal favorite is the *not too sweet* STOCK Cold Brew Coffee. It’s a sweetened cold brew coffee that doesn’t need anything added and still has a coffee taste to it! Sometimes I add vanilla creamer if I want it to have a little extra flavor.
I hope all the coffee lovers enjoyed this (:
